WHAT KIND OF WARRANTY COMES WITH A NEW BROOKFIELD HOME?
Brookfield warrants that the “fit and finish” of the following building components (the “Fit and Finish Warranty”) will be free from deficiencies for a period of one (1) year after the close of escrow (the “Warranty Period”): cabinets, mirrors, flooring, interior and exterior walls, countertops, paint finishes and trim (the “Covered Components”). The “Fit and Finish Warranty” is not an insurance policy or maintenance agreement.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AS FAR AS MAINTENANCE OF MY HOME?
A home is one of the last “hand-built” products left in the world. Homebuilding is part art, part science and part hard labor. Once the natural and man-made materials have been assembled, the components take on a life of their own, reacting and interacting with each other and the environment. Although quality materials and workmanship have been used in your home, this does not mean that it will be free from care and maintenance. A home, like an automobile, requires care and attention from day one. General homeowner maintenance is essential to providing a quality home at optimum condition for years to come.
HOW DO I SUBMIT A SERVICE REQUEST?
Service requests must be submitted in writing, except in cases of emergency. They may be submitted via our website using the Service Request Form or faxed to (925) 743-8050.
WHEN WILL A SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE CONTACT ME AFTER SUBMITTING A SERVICE REQUEST?
You will be contacted within 48 hours of receipt of your service request to schedule an assessment appointment. This appointment is to be scheduled within no more than five (5) business days of receipt of your service request.
WHEN WILL SERVICE PERSONNEL RETURN MY TELEPHONE CALL?
Your call will be returned within 24 hours.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE A SERVICE REQUEST?
Target for completion of service requests is no more than 30 calendar days of receipt of request unless an item is backordered.

During Brookfield’s business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.), call our main office at (925) 743-8000. After business hours or on weekends or holidays, contact the trade listed on the laminated community Quick Reference Guide provided to you at your orientation, or it may be necessary for you to contact the appropriate utility company.
